Your spoken words are NOT saved. When you talk to Vasile, your voice passes through Google servers to be understood, but we do not save it anywhere. It is like a regular phone conversation β once you hang up, the conversation no longer exists.
We do NOT ask for your name, phone number, email, or other personal information to use Vasile. The application works anonymously.
We only save: how many minutes you have available, when you called Vasile, and for how long β that's all.
When you press the green button and speak, the sound from your phone's microphone is sent to Google Cloud Speech-to-Text to be transcribed into text. The text reaches Google Gemini, which generates Vasile's response. The response is then converted back into voice by Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (Chirp 3 voice) and you hear it immediately.
Your voice is NOT saved by us in any way. Details about how Google handles this data are explained in section 5.
To be able to offer free trial minutes to each phone (and to prevent abuse through repeated reinstallations), we generate a unique code associated with your phone. This code is built from the Android identifier (SSAID) and is transformed through an encryption process (SHA-256 hash) before reaching our servers.
We cannot reconstruct from this code your real identity or the original phone identifier.

To function, the Vasile application uses several services provided by Google and Meta. Here is what each does:

Our backend runs on Google Cloud servers in the European region (Frankfurt, Germany). Google services may process data in other Google regions globally, according to their policies.
We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure how many users install and use the app after seeing one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram. This helps us understand which campaigns work and avoid spending on those that don't deliver results.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
You can request that we communicate to you what data we have about you.

You can request the deletion of your account and associated data. Note: if you have an unexpired minutes balance at the time of deletion, it will be lost and cannot be recovered.
You can request that we temporarily stop processing your data in certain situations.

Vasile does NOT make automated decisions with legal effects on you.

To be able to identify your data, you will need to provide us with your anonymous user identifier (UID), which you can find in the application, in the "Settings" β "About" menu.
If you are dissatisfied with how we manage your data, you have the right to file a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
Vasile is intended exclusively for persons aged 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 18 years of age. If we find that we have collected such data, we delete it immediately.
We may update this policy periodically. The current version, with the date of the last update, is always available at this address. For significant changes, we will notify you in the application.
You have the right to request the deletion of all your data stored by the Vasile app. There are two ways you can do this.
Your data is deleted immediately and permanently. No email or additional confirmation is required.
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot access it, send us an email at office@arodex.ro with the subject "Vasile Data Deletion Request".

Important: The current balance is NOT refunded upon account deletion. According to our Terms and Conditions (Romanian GEO 34/2014, art. 16 letter m), by accepting the purchase of minutes you waived your right of withdrawal once the service began to be provided.
To prevent abuse of the free trial period, we retain an anonymous hash of your device identifier, marked as "trial period already used".
